CIS 170 was a really fun and instructive class that thought me much about how websites are developed and managed. In a world that is increasingly more dependent on computers, knowing how to code at least a basic level is a really useful skill to have.
I loved learning how to use HTML5/CSS3 since they were the two tools that allowed me to create and modify sites, it made me feel like I was developing a skill I will only want to improve on. I’m enjoying the use of Worpress however I rather use HTML/CSS because I like to create the sites from ground zero instead of something else doing it for me. The easiest part of the class was opening and closing a tag, as well as remembering where to place a tag.
The one that proved most difficult for me was how to float images into a cohesive space in the containers. I had a really fun time seeing how a website started looking so dull and weird, and turned into a work of art with enough patience. I wished we had discussed more how to set images into the sites, I feel like we didn’t cover that enough. I wished would had discussed at least a little bit on how JAVA script improved on HTML and things of that nature.
